Hampton Free Methodist Church

HFMC Events

How can a church become a sanctuary—a place where individuals living with mental health challenges feel safe, supported, and a sense of belonging?  The Sanctuary Course was created to inspire and equip communities of faith, that are asking this important question. Developed in consultation with mental health professionals, theologians, and people with lived experience, this eight-session study guide explores key mental health topics and examines meaningful ways to offer companionship, support recovery, and promote wellbeing.

HFMC Mission & Vision

Mission Statement

Building God's Community in Hampton Village and Beyond

Vision Statement

Having experienced the healing, power, love and joy of Christ, the people of the Hampton Free Methodist Church actively reach out to others who are seeking a spiritually rich life, those who are suffering and those who are spiritually broken. Together we will walk towards wholeness in Christ.

To lead others and ourselves to wholeness we will:

  1. Exalt God in the joyful presence of the Holy Spirit
  2. Encourage, support and care for the spiritual, social and physical needs of those around us
  3. Give our world opportunities to respond personally to the good news of Jesus Christ
  4. Nurture continual spiritual growth and service
